He graduated from the Georgian State Academy of Physical Education and the Moscow Law Correspondence Academy.
Career
Since 1977 Kokorev was a member of the national team of the country. Participated in 5 Olympic Games (Seoul, 1988 – Athens, 2004). He achieved his best result in Atlanta (1996), where he won the gold medal in the 50 m small-caliber pistol shooting.
