Graduated from Belgrade University, and from an infantry officers school.
During the Civil War, evacuated with his parents to the Crimea, and from there to Turkey. Settled in Yugoslavia. During World War II, became underground leader of the Russian scouts organizations in Europe.
Went to Warsaw, trying to get to the German-occupied Russian territories, but was prevented by serious illness. Became an invalid, but remained a very active scout organizer and leader. Deputy chief of the youth department in the Vlasov movement in Germany, 1944.
After World War II, as chief Russian scoutmaster in West Germany, tried to recreate the Russian scout movement, which had been shattered by the war. In the 1960s, worked with Radio Liberty in Munich.
