Graduated from Moscow University.
Career
In the late 1920s and 1930s, twice condemned to death. Inmate of the Solovki concentration camp. During World War II, edited a Russian newspaper under German occupation in the North Caucasus.
After World War II, in refugee camps in Italy. Among his books is a description of his life in Solovki (Neugasimaia Lampada). and memoirs of his life in Italy, where he earned his living by making dolls and selling them in the markets (DP v Ita/ii).
