Education

Graduated from the Moscow Higher Technical Institute, 1918.

Career

1918-1929 instructor, Moscow Higher Technology School. 1918 helped establish Central Aerodynamical Institute and organize Moscow Air Force Engineering Academy. Since 1921 Professor, above Academy.

1933-1937 simultaneously Professor, Moscow Aviation Institute. 1954-1958 Head, Motors Laboratory, USSR Academy of Science. 1946-1953 corresponding member, USSR Academy of Science.

Specialist in the theory of aircraft engines. Founded theory of thermal calculation and methods of analysing ground and altitude characteristics of aircraft engines, still viable in USSR.

Religion

Religious books are outdated, because laws by nature have to change with the advance of societies and technology. Religious faith contradicts people’s efforts to obtain the truth about nature and a human being.

Views

Marxism–Leninism as the only truth could not, by its very nature, become outdated.
