1936 graduated Leningrad University.
1936-1953 at State Optics Institute. Since 1953 at Institute of Physics and Mathematics, Belarusian Academy of Sciences. Specialist in theoretical spectroscopy.
Developed the theory of oscillatory spectra in polyatomic molecules. Proposed quantum mechanical theory of spectroscopic behavior of hydrogen bonds. Since 1951 has devoted particular attention to the theory of processes arising during luminescence of complex molecules and uranyl compounds.
Religion obstructs scientific research and technological progress.
Member, Communist Party, since 1939.
Marxism–Leninism as the only truth could not, by its very nature, become outdated.
