Boris TRUSEVICH, USSR Therapeutist. Full member, Belarusian Academy of Sciences, since 1958; Professor, and Head, Chair of Faculty Therapy, Minsk Medicine Institute, since 1934; Honoured Worker of Science of Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republic since 1946. Order of Red Banner of Labor, 1961; other orders; medals.
Education
1916 graduated Medical Faculty, Kiev University.
Career
Co-Editor, “Internal Diseases” section, “Bolshaya meditsinskaya entsiklopediya” (Large Medical Encyclopedia), 2nd edition. Member, Editor Council, journals “Klinicheskaya meditsina” (Clinical Medicine) and “Terapevtichesky arkhiv” (Therapy Archives). Member, Editor Board, journal “Zdravookhranenie Belorussii” (Public Health in Belorussia).
Developed method of palpating the minor curvature of the stomach and the pancreas, and a new modification of kidney palpation. Advanced method of continuous percussion of the thorax. Method of detecting diastolic murmur in aortic valve insufficiency at the “sixth point”.
Method of detecting dry and moist crepitation and frictional noise in the pleura and the pericardium, etc. Works deal with clinical and experimental study of internal pathology and infectious diseases, especially the improvement of physical examination methods. 1918-1920 at Kiev University.
1920-1928 at various medical institutions, Rostov-on-Don. 1928-1934 instructor, Minsk Medicine Institute.
