From 1902 in revol movement. 1905-1906 member, Vilnius Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Committee. Member, oblast comt, Northwestern Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Union.
At 4th (Amalgamalive) Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Congress sided with Mensheviks. From 1909 lived in Zakopane, Galicia. Worked for Zakopane Natural History Social, Ethnographical Social, Geological Social and Meteorological Social.
Active member, Cracow League for Aid to Polit Prisoners. Maintained contacts with Social-Democratic Party of Poland and Lithuania From 1921 secretary, Russo-Ukraine-Polish Repatriation Commission.
Then until 1923 Soviet consul in Warsaw. Helped to trace and collect Lenin’s library and archives which had been left in Poland.
