1946-1953 Presidium member, USSR Academy of Science. 1946-1951 simultaneously Academy Secretary, USSR Academy of Science. 1944-1953 Chairman, Section for Processing Problems of Radio Engineering, USSR Academy of Science.

1949-1951 member, Main Editorial Board, “Large Soviet Encyclopedia”. Former Deputy Chairman, Committee Stalin Prizes. Main research on ultrashort wave propagation and magnetism.
