Boris Nikolaevich Eding was born on March 10, 1889 in Rostov, Yaroslavl', Russian Federation. He was born into a family of officers. He was a brother of Dmitry Nikolaevich Eding.
Boris Nikolaevich graduated from the Voronezh 1st male gymnasium (1908), after that he graduated from the historical and philological faculty of Moscow University (1912). He studied at the Voronezh free drawing school (1900s).
Since 1915, a teacher at the Moscow City People's University named after A. L. Shanyavsky (course on the history of Russian art). The author of the book "Rostov the Great. Uglich"(Moscow, 1913).
