Saunders, Boyd was born on June 12, 1937 in Rossville, Tennessee, United States. Son of Shirley Nebhut and Maggie Irene (Boyd) Saunders.


Bachelor of Science, Memphis State University, 1959. Master in Fine Art, University Mississippi, 1062. Postgraduate, Bottega d'Arte Grafica, Florence, Italy, 1967.
