Braimah first rose to prominence by winning a bronze medal in the Heavyweight 1999 All-Africa Games organized in Johannesburg, South Africa from 10 September to 18 September. = Inactivity Negotiations have taken place for a possible WBO World Light Heavyweight championship fight with Sergey Kovalev in Russia which has yet to materialize.
