Marshall was released by the Jaguars on October 27, 2012, re-signed on October 30, and released on November 1.
He was signed to the team"s practice squad on November 5 and promoted to the active roster on December 18.

He was signed to the Denver Broncos" practice squad on September 2, 2013.
On December 24, he was promoted to the active 53-man roster after placing Von Miller on injured reserve. Marshall was promoted to the Broncos" starting lineup during Week 2 of the 2014 season, replacing the injured Danny Trevathan.
The following season, Marshall started all 16 games, finishing second on the team in tackles.
