Career
Poltronieri was actually born in Los Angeles, California, but moved to Aserrí, Costa Rica at a young age. While at Brujas Football Club, Poltronieri went out on loan to Leixões South Carolina of the Portuguese top flight. Following his stint in Portugal in 2009, he returned to Costa Rica, where he would play for two more clubs (Barrio México and Universidad de Costa Rica) from 2010-2013 before settling in at Carmelita.
From January 2014, the former Costa Rica youth international was a key player for AD Carmelita, making 18 appearances and scoring 2 goals.
Poltronieri is a left-footed player that prefers playing left back, however, he can also be deployed as a left midfielder. On February 11, 2015 Poltronieri signed with Ottawa Fury Football Club of the NASL.
