Buckley was born in Morristown, New Jersey on March 13, 1974, to his Korean mother Soon Ja Kim, and his Irish-American father Dennis Buckley.

He attended Mountain. Arlington Public School (MAPS) in Mountain. Arlington. He then attended Roxbury High School and graduated with the Class of 1992.
His early formal musical education on piano and trumpet came from public schools, while later learning the drums from the father/son teaching team of Sonny and Tommy Igoe. From college to music career

Jae, Sixo, Pedro Suarez Vertiz, Soledad, Natalia Oriero, Fernando Osorio, Alicastro, Leo Quintero, Gayle Ritt, Pete Masitti, Shalim, and Maria Bestár.
In 2004, Buckley moved out west to the city of Los Los Angeles Upon arriving, he immediately joined the experimental rock band Pedestrian. Their work together can be heard on the album "Ghostly Life".

Buckley produced the new album from the artist Michael Miller called I Made You Up. In September 2011, Buckley began touring with American-Taiwanese popular singer Leehom Wang for his Music Manitoba world tour. In July 2013, Buckley started playing for Singaporean singer JJ Lin.
Recently, he has performed and recorded with the country artist Shelby Lynne, as well as Mylie Cyrus, Emmanuel, JJ Lin, Melissa Ethridge, The Bodeans, Joseph Arthur, Debi Nova, Claudia Brant, David Bisbal, Jacob & Fanny.
He has also worked with the king of Brazilian music, Roberto Carlos.
