Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Acting Head of Law School, Lusaka, Zambia 1965-1968. Legal officer, Army Legal Service, Dublin 1968-1969. Resident Magistrate and Deputy Registrar, High Court, Lusaka 1969-1970, Senior Resident Magistrate and Registrar 1970-1973.

Admitted to practice as legal practitioner in Zambia 1971. Puisne Judge December 1973. Called to Bar, Lincoln's Inn, London 1977.

Frequently Acting Judge of Supreme Court, Lusaka 1976-1980, Judge of Supreme Court 1980. Director of Legal Services Corporation Lusaka 1982-1983. Puisne Judge of Supreme Court of Fiji, Lautoka and Suva 1984-1987.

Chief Justice of Lesotho May since 1987, Judge of Court of Appeal (ex officio) and Chairman Judicial Services Commission. Director Chinese Traditional Medicine Development Association since 1985.
