Brendan Patrick Leonard was born on February 6th, 1984, in Winnetka, Illinois, to Mike Leonard and Cathy Leonard. Around the age of fifteen, Brendan picked up an interest in video editing, most likely sparked by his father, an National Broadcasting Company Today correspondent and producer.
Brendan graduated from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island, after transferring from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois.
Personal life
He has three older siblings named Matt, Megan, and Kerry. He has an avid interest in indie music, hockey, and video editing. Four years later, his long-running local production was to be picked up on national television
On Brendan"s 19th birthday, he received a telephone call from an American Broadcasting Company Family spokesperson and learned that his show was going to be hosted and aired on American Broadcasting Company Family.
On May 26, 2003, The Brendan Leonard Show made its national debut. The show was the first to be produced, directed, and written entirely by teens.
Some skits feature playing in mud while wearing suits, exploring their old high school while trying to avoid the janitor, videos of Brendan when he was a little kid, playing baseball left-handed, showing all the uses for spatulas, and making their own kung-fu movies. Cast and crew members included Brendan Leonard, Kevin Carlson, Michael Carney, Paul Detjen, Robbie Karver, Patrick Mohr, Ryan Turner, Kevin Sheehan, James Fleischel, Megan Fleischel, Kerry Leonard, Mike Leonard, Cathy Leonard, Margarita Leonard, and Matt Leonard.
The Brendan Leonard Show ran a total of 40 episodes during the summer of 2003 before it was cut from the American Broadcasting Company Family network in August.
The Brendan Leonard Show featured different artists each episode such as Built to Spill and The Oranges Band. The show was not picked up by American Broadcasting Company Family for a second season. Brendan Leonard took part with his family on Camp Jinx, a blog featuring comedic skits and family updates.
He is currently performing in the band The Biltmores (created while at Providence College) in Chicago, and working with his family"s production company, PictureShow Films.
Brendan Leonard was a key contributor to Operation Shhh!cago founded by The White Cougar, Anthony Federico and The Black Mamba, Tommy Ingle. The surprise was executed to perfection on unsuspecting former roommates Mike Soderberg and Kev Linehan.
