Brett attended Northside with Matt Jones, who he also played with at Arkansas and in Jacksonville with the Jaguars.
He was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Arkansas. Jacksonville Jaguars
After going undrafted, Goode signed with the Jaguars as a rookie free agent.
He participated in their training camp until he was released on August 20.

On January 7, 2011, Goode signed a contract extension. On week 15 of the 2015 NFL season, Goode suffered a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament during a game against the Raiders.
Subsequently he was placed on Injured Reserve.
