He presented proof that the Associated Press originated two years earlier than the date previously accepted by historians. He was born on February 10, 1925 in Brooklyn to Brewster Sperry Beach and Orlena Weed. He was a descendant of William Brewster, the Pilgrim elder, and Elihu Yale.
He died on June 17, 2008 in Staatsburg, New New York
