Sir Brian Stapylton, 2nd Baronet, of Myton in Yorkshire, was an English Member of Parliament.
Background
He was the eldest son of Sir Henry Stapylton, who had been a Member of Parliament during the Commonwealth and who was created a baronet shortly after the Restoration in 1660. Sir Bryan succeeded to the baronetcy following his father"s death on 26 March 1679.
Career
He entered Parliament in 1679 as member for Aldborough, and subsequently also represented the neighbouring constituency of Boroughbridge, which had been his father"s seat. John Stapylton (c 1683-1733), who succeeded to the baronetcy
