Brian Harvey

Education

He received his Bachelor of Surgery in Mathematics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1969, a Master of Surgery in Computer Science, Stanford University, 1975, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Science and Mathematics Education, University of California Berkeley, 1985.

Career

He and his students developed UCBLogo, a free and open source Logo interpreter for learners. He also received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, New College of California, 1990.

Achievements

University of California Berkeley Distinguished Teaching Award (1995) Diane S. McEntyre Award for Excellence in Teaching (1997) Jim and Donna Gray Faculty Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching (1998-1999).
