To get there they first played Clare with O'Halloran contributing 3points of his sides 0–14. Senior Intercounty
O'Halloran progressed to joining the Waterford Senior Hurling panel in early 2010 but was prevented from playing because he was sitting the Leaving Certificate Examinations.
O'Halloran's first game with the senior team came as a substitute appearance in the 2010 Munster Final Replay against Cork. Brian O'Halloran did his leaving certificate in 2010. His favourite music includes Kings of Leon and The Killers.
