Brian L. Roberts is chairman and CEO of Comcast Corporation, an American company providing cable, entertainment, and communications products and services.
Background
He was born into a Jewish family, the son of Suzanne Fleisher, a former actress and playwright, and Ralph J. Roberts, the co-founder of Comcast Corporation.
He and his wife live in Philadelphia with their three children. Aileen is the director of the Barnes Foundation. Being both an All-American squash player and of Jewish descent, he participated in the Maccabiah Games in Israel.

He was admitted to the Zeta Psi fraternity.
Career
Roberts is chairman of the board of directors of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) and previously treasurer. He is chairman and CEO of Comcast Corporation. Comcast has grown into a Fortune 100 company with 24.1 million customers and 100,000 employees. Roberts received $24,683,315 in 2009. On December 3, 2009, General Electric (GE) and Comcast announced a buyout agreement for NBC Universal. Regulators approved the proposed sale on January 18, 2011. With the completion of the sale by January 28, 2011, Comcast owned 51% of NBCUniversal and GE owned 49%. Roberts is part of NBCUniversal's board of directors.
He was named to President Barack Obama's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness in February, 2011.
