Career
He played for the San Diego Padres. Tollberg began his career with Chillicothe in the independent Frontier League before signing with Milwaukee in 1995. He made it to the majors in June 2000 with San Diego and finished with a 4–5 record with a 3.58 European Research Area. He earned National League Player of the Week honors his first week in the Major Leagues.
He played two more seasons for the club
He later played in the Colorado Rockies and Houston Astros organizations at Triple-A level and also pitched in the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball in 2008. He is active in youth baseball and has served as Director of Player Development for Palma Ceia Little League in Tampa, Florida.
