• Extensive knowledge and experiences from the Swedish Office of National Statistics in the areas of compiling national accounts, economic statistics, statistical business register, international merchandise trade statistics, conduct of household surveys and in design, gathering, screening, and interpretation of statistical data as well as dissemination/communication of official statistics with providers and users.
• Experience in providing advisory services for national statistical institutions in newly emerging economies for modernisation of official statistics compliant with UN and European standards and in drawing up road maps for achievement.
• Experiences in EU/UNDP/ADB funded project implementation, management, assessment and evaluation of project/programmes and in providing advisory services for the adoption of good management and enforcement practices relating to development of different areas of statistics.
• Advisory experiences include strategy formulation for the modernisation of statistics and adoption of appropriate organisational structures for the national statistical offices and to provide support for the national statistical offices to acquire confidence in developing good quality statistics.
• Extensive experience in participatory approaches and providing advisory services for capacity building up for adoption of EU statistics Acquis for national accounts, statistical business register, economic statistics (macro and micro statistics), international merchandise trade statistics and conduct of surveys.
• Possess extensive knowledge in communication and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and excellent relations with contracting authorities and beneficiary’s institutions. Demonstrated ability to produce imaginative solutions and in preparing technical and non-technical reports to deadlines and to coordinate relations with government agencies, contracting authorities and beneficiary institutions.
• Posses skills in discussions and negotiations with senior level officials in ministries and government authorities about use of reliable and relevant national statistics in a timely manner and in drafting guidelines, work plans for awareness raising activities.
• Proven track record for working in multi-cultural teams of experts and as team leader and Key Expert in EU/USAID/ADB and UNDP funded projects in ASEAN Member States, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Cambodia, Carricom and Caribbean countries, Egypt, China, Cuba, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Maldives, Moldova, Myanmar, Namibia, Qatar, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, Vietnam and Uzbekistan.
