Career

He currently serves on the board of directors of Codexis (National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation: CDXS), a biotechnology company based out of Redwood City California and Accelrys, Incorporated. (National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation: ACCL) and he is a former director of Bureau of Economic Analysis Systems (National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation: BEAS), Quantum Corporation (New York Stock Exchange: QTM), and Symyx Technologies (National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation: SMMX). Prior to being a director for public companies, he was a Senior Vice President of Booz-Allen & Hamilton Incorporated. for over 20 years, and the Managing Partner of the firm"s organization and strategic leadership center and its offices in California.

Prior to this assignment, he led Booz-Allen"s energy, chemicals and pharmaceuticals practice.

He was with Booz-Allen from 1976 until 2005. Pasternack holds degrees in Engineering and Operations Research from Cooper Union and University of Pennsylvania and currently sits on the Cooper Union board.

Pasternack"s government service includes head of energy policy at the Federal Energy Administration, principal staff to the White House Energy Resources Council and the President"s Council on Environmental Quality. Pasternack has also co-authored two business books, The Centerless Corporation (1998) and Results (2005).
