Background

White was born in Memphis, Tennessee.

Career

In 1961, White set the still-standing 18-hole scoring record (63) at the Professional Golf Association Seniors" Championship. Following his retirement from competitive golf, White worked as a golf instructor in the Miami, Florida, area, where he taught many players including a number of Professional Golf Association Tour professionals. Professional Golf Association Tour wins 1946 Memphis Invitational Other wins.
