Mr. Reeves carried on professional practice in London twenty years. In 1881 he migrated to the U. S. and shortly after his arrival, settled in Los Angeles.
During the late 19th century Mr. Reeves won recognition in designing a number of notable buildings in the city-the old Pro-Cathedral, Biltmore Hotel; St. Vincent's Church at Grand Avenue and Washington Blvd ; and the Phillips Block on North Spring Street. After 1911 Mr. Reeves made his home at #1829 West Adams Street.
