Career
She is currently serving as the Senior Vice-President of the Awami National Party, a primarily Pakhtun ethnic party, as well as chairman of the Standing Committee on Women's Development and a senior member on Standing Committee on Foreign, Finance, and Kashmir Affairs. Gohar has a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from the United States, with over 19 years experience in policy design, development design and plans, projects evaluation and in implementing human rights and development programmes in Pakistan and the region. She has represented the civil society and the Government of Pakistan in the United Nations and other International forums on several occasions.
