FALKLAND, Byron Plantagenet Cary was born in 1845. Son of Captain Honourable Byron-C.-F.-P.-Cary, Royal Navy, and Selina, daughter of Reverend Francis Fox, of Foxhall, Company Longford.

Career

Entered 49th Regiment 1863. Served in 49th Regiment and 35th Regiment, 1863-1883. Retired on a pension with honorary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel A small property in the City worth about £25,000.

Has no gallery, but owns a few good pictures by Vansommer, Cornelius Jansen, Sir Joshua Reynolds, Sir Peter Lely, Sir Godfrey Kneller, John Riley, and Romney.
