Career
He competed in the Lightweight division. Born and raised in Visalia, California, Carrizosa began training in mixed martial arts in 2009. Fighting out of Woodlake, he made his professional debut in June of 2011 competing in the lightweight division.
He compiled an undefeated record of 6 - 0 competing primarily for regional promotions in his native California, including a second round submission victory over Juan Quesada in October of 2013 at Bellator CII. After a first round knockout finish of Chris Quitiquit on February 6, 2014 at Tachi Palace Fights 18, Carrizosa was signed by the UFC in the summer of 2014.
Ultimate Fighting Championship
Carrizosa made his promotional debut on two weeks notice against Chris Wade on August 30, 2014 at UFC 177. Carrizosa lost the fight via technical submission from a guillotine choke in the first round.
Foreign his second fight in the UFC, Carrizosa faced Leonardo Mafra on March 21, 2015 at UFC Fight Night 62. Carrizosa lost the fight by unanimous decision.
One the heels of the loss to Mafra, Carrizosa was released from the promotion.
