As a senior, he was a second team All-Big Ten Conference pick. He earned his Bachelor of Arts at Penn State in 1998. Booth was drafted by the Wizards in the second round (35th overall) of the 1999 National Basketball Association Draft.
He has played for the Wizards, the Dallas Mavericks, the Seattle SuperSonics and the Milwaukee Buckinghamshire throughout his, averaging 4.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.
During the 2006-2007 National Basketball Association season, he played for the Washington Wizards again, providing play from off the bench and starting occasionally. On September 10, 2007 Booth signed as a free agent with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Booth"s career highlight came in Game 5 of the 2001 National Basketball Association Playoffs against the Utah Jazz. Booth got free for a layup with 9.8 seconds remaining to give Dallas an 84–83 lead and a 3–2 series victory.
