Career
He was drafted with the 17th selection in the 2011 Rookie Draft by the North Melbourne Football Club from the Box Hill Hawks in the Victorian Football League. He was elevated to the senior list prior to the start of the 2011 American Federation of Labor-Congress season when Ayden Kennedy was placed on the long-term injury list. He was then selected to make his American Federation of Labor-Congress debut in the opening round of the season against West Coast, after Todd Goldstein was a late withdrawal.
He collected 20 disposals.
He earned a lot of praise because he had to play as an undersized ruckman in that game. In his second American Federation of Labor-Congress match against the Geelong Football Club at Skilled Stadium he collected 10 disposals.
On 26 October 2012 he was traded to the Melbourne Football Club.
