Lleras studied architecture and fine arts from 1969 to 1971. He is a self-taught photographer.
Career
Since 1972 Camilo is a freelance photographer. Currently, Lleras teaches photography and art history. He taught photography and experimental film and headed the program on photography and graphic design at Taller 5, School of Design, in Bogota, Colombia, United Statres from 1976 to 1979.
Since 1978 Camilo is a founding member of Consejo Latino Americano de Fotografia in Mexico. Camilo's work involves serial and sequential self-portraiture and experimentation with techniques such as solarization, high contrast and multiple images.
