Completed secondary and normal studies in Jalapa on a scholarship from the Secretariat of Public Education. Preparatory studies at night school, Veracruz, Veracruz. Legal studies at the National School of Law, National Autonomous University, 1955-1960, law degree, 1960.

Founder of the Institute for Adult Education, Tamiahua, Veracruz. Founder of the Secondary Night School for Workers, Tamiahua, Veracruz. Professor, Federal Institute of Teacher Training, 1962-1971.

Career

Mayor of Chicontepec, Veracruz, 1975-1977. Plurinominal Federal Deputy from the Socialist Workers Party, 1982-1985. Joined Institutional Revolutionary Party, 1955.

Joined the Socialist Workers Party, 1979. Candidate for federal deputy from the Institutional Revolutionary Party, 1979. Candidate of the Socialist Workers Party for Governor of Veracruz, 1980.

Presidential candidate of the Socialist Workers Party, 1981-1982. Teacher in the Federal District, 1955. Worked as a milkman, blacksmith, charcoal maker.

Left the Institutional Revolutionary Party because of the imposition of Manuel Ramos Gurrión as the Institutional Revolutionary Party candidate for federal deputy.
