Fellow and Tutor of St. Augustine’s Missionary College, Canterbury, 1887-1888. Went in 1889 to South India as Principal of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel College, Trichinopoly. Appointed by Government of Madras a Fellow of the University of Madras in 1892.
Furlough to England in 1896. Advised on medical grounds not to return to India. Honourable Fellow of St. Augustine’s College, Canterbury, 1897.
