Ordained, 1860, and served curacies in Dioceses of Canterbury, Lichfield, and Manchester. Vicar of. East Marden, near Chichester, 1871. Secretary of the j Diocesan Conference, the Diocesan Association, and Bishop of Chichester s Fund, and was secretary of the Brighton Church Congress, 1901.
Represents the Diocese on Central Council of Diocesan Conferences, and the Committees of 8.P.G. and National Society.
Gave evidence before the Royal Commissions on Education and Redemption of Tithe Rent Charge. Served on Joint-Committee of Upper and Lower Houses of Convocation on Letters of Business, and on Committee of Lower House on Prayer Book Revision. F. Royal Astronomical or Asiatic Society.
