Educated Gymnasium, Prague, Bohemia. Doctor of Medicine Royal and Imperial U. Prague, 1889. Served as assistant in surgical and gynecological clinics in Prague, assisting first Professor Gussenbauer and later Doctor Schauta, gynecologist of Vienna.
Made several trips to American as steamer surgeon, 1889-1890. And in 1890 settled in Chicago in general practice of medicine. Professor surgery, Chicago College Physicians and Surgeons (University of Illinois), Post-Graduate Medical school and Chicago College of Dentistry.
Attending surgeon to Cook County, Saint Joseph and North. Chicago hospitals Founded Saint Anthony Hospital, with the Sisters of Joliet.
A founder German Medical Society and Bohemian Medical Society Chicago. Member of the American Medical Association, German Society Surgeons of Berlin, Society Physicians of Prague, Royal Academy, Rome.
