Career

Began as runner, Central Bank, Oakland, California, April 1907. With First National Bank, Livermore, September 1907-1918, became assistant cashier. Various positions, Madera Branch, later supervisor of credits for the system, Bank of America, 1918-1934.

President first National Bank of Nevada, 1934-1937. President Central Bank of Oakland, 1937-1943. Senior vice president, and chairman managing committee, member executive committee and board directors, Bank of America National Trust and Savings Association, San Francisco, California, 1943-1949, vice chairman general Executive Committee and director, 1949-1952, president, 1952-1954, chairman of the executive committee, 1954-1971, honorary Chairman of the Board, 1963-1971.

Director Pacific Gas & Electric Company, Foremost-McKesson Incorporated.
