Deported by Swiss Government, 1850, forced to leave for London, England., along with other revolutionary leaders.
Came to the United States, 1851. Founder German daily, Baltimore Wecker, which stood for popular education, freedom and enlightenment, opposing current Know-Nothingness, 1851.
