Carles Delclaux Is was born on October 29, 1951 in Sant Cugat Del Vallès, Catalonia, Spain.
Delclaux trained in the Massana School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, Spain.
Delclaux directed the Catalan School of Tapestry from 1970 to 1974. His first exhibition took place in Sant Cugat del Vallès in 1972. In 1975 he moved to Girona, where he held a chair in tapestry, teaching the craft of weaver based on academicism.
Delclaux has recreated works of many artists, reinterpreting: Joan Miró, Modest Cuixart, Marcel Martí and others. His own designs evolve tapestry for a renaissance in the third millennium.
