Born in Nerópolis, Goiás, Carlos finished his formation with Goiáson He made his professional – and Série A – debut on 4 June 2015, starting in a 0–1 away loss against Sport. Carlos scored his first goal in the main category of Brazilian football on 8 July, netting his team"s last in a 4–1 home routing of Santos.
