Career
He played parts of two seasons in Major League Baseball for the New York Mets (1997) and Colorado Rockies (2000), primarily as an outfielder. He batted and threw left-handed. In a two-season career, Mendoza hit.182 with one Reserve Bank of India and no home runs in 28 games.
Mendoza currently serves as a coach for the Class-A Charleston RiverDogs in the South Atlantic League.
