Carlos Pedro Silva Morais, commonly known as Caló, is a Cape Verdean retired football player who played as a left winger.
Background
Caló was born in the capital city of Praia. Caló was born in Praia, bouncing back between clubs in his country and in the Portuguese lower leagues in his early career, when he played for Avanca, he scored 22 goals, three was scored in the Portuguese Cup.

Early life and career He played basketball and football (soccer) in his young years Club career In 2000 he signed for South Carolina (U.S.) Salgueiros in the top division of the latter nation, being sparingly used over the course of two seasons and suffering relegation in his second, he had 30 appearance and scored far less goals than his previous club with only three. Subsequently Caló moved countries again, spending several years in Qatar in representation of two teams, mainly First Rate (at Lloyd's) Ahli South Carolina (Doha), he was one of the first Cape Verdean players to play in a Qatari club, he scored 26 goals in al Ahli. In early 2010, aged nearly 34, he returned to his homeland, joining Sport Club Santa Maria and moving to former side Sporting Clube da Praia after a few months.
International career Caló represented Cape Verde during nine years, his debut coming in 1998.
He scored one of the national team"s first ever goals in a qualification match, against Swaziland on 16 November 2003 (1–1 away draw).
