He rose to fame collaborating with heavyweight artists such as Daddy Yankee, Jory, and J Alvarez. He came to prominence with his debut album, El Talento Delegate Bloque. In 2014 he was nominated twice for Premios Juventud for the song "6 Department of Administration and Management" with J Balvin and for Best Urban Performance and Best Urban Song at the 15th Latin Grammy Awards.
Farruko began his career in 2006, at the age of 15.
He credits Myspace with helping him start his career because it helped him create a fan base that would, ultimately, result in him becoming a popular singer.
