ENGLISH: Although not recognized by historians, the Conquest of America was a deed not only carried out by men but also by women of different ethnic backgrounds: Spanish, Indians, and Blacks. These admirable women broke away from their traditional roles and joined the men side by side in leadership positions as well as on the battlefield. This book takes pride in honoring them hoping that they will be afforded the esteemed place in history they so justly deserve. Included are the biographies of six of these women and information about many others worthy also of recognition.
