Studied at private school in London. Paris; studied art at West London School of Art, and at the Slade.
After leaving school went to business for a short time only. Becoming tired of it, took to lithography for some years for a living. Painting in his spare time, ultimately taking to painting altogether.
Exhibited in Dudley Gallery and R. Bachelor of Arts.
Was member of the latter Society. Member Institute of Painters in Oil Colours, 1890.
Amongst his patrons are His (or Her) Majesty the King, the trustees of the National Gallery, Melbourne, Adelaide, et cetera Several of his paintings have been published as photogravures and in other ways.
