Barbee graduated from Central Cabarrus High School in Concord, North Carolina where she did theater. She graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor in Speech, Communications and Theater Arts and later received her Master of Fine Arts in Acting from University of California, Los Los Angeles
She has a sister, Cathy Barbee, who currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina. They have two sons, Lucas and Diego. Acting Carol Barbee got her first role in Los Angeles Law, and has appeared in other television shows such as Judge Advocate General, NX and Ellen, as well as movies such as Die Hard 2 and Out to Sea.
