Career

Mississippi Oberman is an attorney whose practice has, for more than two decades, concentrated on the legal needs of persons with disabilities and their families and of gifted students.
She has lectured and published extensively in the areas of education rights and estate planning, and is Adjunct Professor of Education Law in the graduate program at Holy Family College in Philadelphia.
Formerly director of the Legal Department of Philadelphia Association of Retarded Citizens, staff attorney at the Education Law Center and litigation consultant at the Disabilities Law Project, she currently sits on the National Legal Affairs Committee of the Anti-Defamation League and serves as a hearing officer for the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.
