She competed in the third season of the Univision reality series Nuestra Belleza Latina in the United States and came in third place. She has four siblings: Raúl, Luigi, Mariuxi and Juanito. López auditioned in Los Angeles for the Nuestra Belleza Latina series and was among the twelve to participate in the Miami-based competition.
She finished second runner-up.
She played Trinitia in the romantic comedy film From Prada to Nada. Catalina Focil-Saman traded her crown for make up brushes and become a famous certified make up artist who works with recognized brands and famous designers in Los Angeles California.
