Prior to competing in, Robayo was given the chance to represent Valle in Mission Colombia 2009 when the original, Diana Salgado, was forced to resign because "her body measures surpassed the normal requirements of the competition." Robayo only participated in the first week of the 2009 Mission Colombia pageant, after Salgado sued Valle del Cauca Department organizing committee, and regained the right to represent Valle in Mission Colombia 2009. A year later, Robayo competed once again as Mission Valle in her country"s national pageant,, held in Cartagena on November 15, 2010, where she obtained the Mission Elegance award and the title of Mission Colombia, gaining the right to represent her country in the 2011 Mission Universe pageant, broadcast live from São Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011. However, she was eliminated in the first round and never made it to the top ten of Mission Universe 2011 which would eventually won by Mission Angola.
